As part of a project we were asked to take a site to characterize and redesign. I chose the Israeli website of the British company Next.

Next Is A British Fashion And Housewares Chain With Many Stores Across The UK. The Chain Operates Online Stores Around The World. The Chain Has 597 Stores Across England And Ireland And Almost 200 Franchisees In More Than 40 Countries Around The World. This Chain Also Markets Its Clothing And Accessories To 72 Countries Around The World, Including Israel.

Characterization and redesign of the website. The Israeli Next website is very outdated and unattractive. The goal is to research similar sites and improve the site's efficiency and user experience in order to increase sales percentages. (not measured in this project)

The Next website has existing branding and an existing design language. In this project I did not stick to the existing color palette of the site and chose softer colors. In addition, on the site you can find clothes for the whole family, but the main user in my opinion is women

Competitive Research

Next's competitors according to
Owler website (sales intelligence
and business information research company). I chose two competitors who also appeal to Israeli audiences and have adapted websites- Asos and Marks and Spencer.

Competitor Analysis

To understand what needs to be improved on the site, I compared the competitor's sites and checked what gave me a good experience and what things needed improvement. These competitions below have a website adapted to the Israeli audience. I chose 5 parameters for comparison.

parmeters

attractive home page
A wide and clearly Nav Bar

Relevant and clear filter options
at the Search Result Page
Information accessibility on the purchase page
Utilization of screen space on
the purchase page

*All the selected sites are intended for the Israeli audience. It is important for me to mention this because Next London's website for example looks a little different and the user experience is much better.
